Glass all day. Perfect weather for a jet ski? That's right, I saw the 1st jet ski of the year on the water today.

Beat The System
I have figured out a way to "beat the system" of weather on Lake Whatcom! Own a sail boat and a stand up paddle board. That way, you can go out on the water in any weather conditions: Wind or glass!
My new stand up paddle board is gnarly. It is a tank! Tough to fall in with such great stability. It glides across the flat water... not good in waves, however. I hug the shoreline for safety and to see all of the Smith Creek flooding debris from years past under the water. Creepy! Paddling to Firwood and back takes approx. 1 hr. It's a super core workout. If you want to buy one, call my friend Tim Niemier, he'll make one for you.
